T. Perry - Sample Post

Here is a suggested structure for your blog post.

I. Opening and Introduction of Trish - why you are participating, how you found out about the tour, how you know Trish, who Trish is, etc. Trish’s bio can be found here.

II. Writing Prompt, Book Review and/or Interview with Trish (pictures of Trish and the book cover of Beach Dreams are available here)

A. Write your response to the writing prompt: How has God used a mistake you made - big or small - for his purposes? The example may be serious or funny, complex or simple, and you may or may not have realized he was even using it at the time it occurred. Don’t forget we’re hosting a small contest in conjunction with the writing prompt. Your readers are eligible to participate as well. Each blog post responding to the question enters you into the contest.

B. Write an honest review of Beach Dreams. Don’t be afraid to share what you really think of the book, but please remember to do so with grace and respect for Trish. -OR- Conduct your own interview by emailing me questions for Trish ONE WEEK in advance of your blog posting date.

C. Choose one of the canned interviews (or a combination of them) or information from the media press release to post:

III. An encouragement to check out Trish’s website: (http://www.trishperrybooks.com). Also a link to Trish’s book on Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0736924469). Technorati tracks books based upon that specific link, so using the link provided helps Trish gain some additional exposure.

IV. An encouragement to check out the other bloggers on the tour. You can either list all of the bloggers and link to them (List and HTML code found here) -OR- you can link to the complete list of bloggers (Found here).

V. (optional) Give away a copy of the book. Some bloggers hold a random drawing from the names of those visitors who leave a comment. Sometimes bloggers pose a specific question and choose the best answer from those who leave comments. Conduct your contest however you wish; if you do, just be sure to follow through and mail the book in a timely manner, please.
